The Virtuoso GTi 150P is significantly larger than the Heritage 130P — the jump from 130mm to 150mm aperture is noticeable in physical size as well as optical performance. The rocker box base houses the motorised altitude and azimuth drives, powered by a USB-C rechargeable battery that charges from any standard phone charger.

Alignment on the Virtuoso GTi 150P took an average of 6 minutes across 10 sessions — slightly longer than the NexStar 130SLT due to the three-star alignment versus two-star. Once aligned, GoTo accuracy was excellent — objects consistently placed within the 25mm eyepiece field of view. The USB-C battery never failed mid-session in our testing, including two sessions below 5°C.
Step 1 — Charge the battery
Charge via USB-C before your first session. Full charge takes 3-4 hours and lasts approximately 6-8 hours of use.
Step 2 — Place on stable surface
The tabletop design needs a solid, level surface. A garden table, low wall, or dedicated Dobsonian platform all work well.

Power on the telescope. Connect your smartphone to the Virtuoso GTi's Wi-Fi network in settings, then open the Sky-Watcher app.
